Fundraiser Follow-up
Vestal, NY
Dear Red Robin,
I am enrolled in a College Microsoft Office class at a local high school in Endicott, New York. Our class focuses on Microsoft Office Suite & college and career readiness. My teacher, Mrs. Gee ahs asked the class to write a personal business letter to a brand or company that we love using professional business letter format.
I chose to write to Red Robin because it is one of my favorite places to eat at. My favorite thing to get whenever I am there is the pretzel bites. They are just salty goodness. I also enjoy the atmosphere and the decorations of the restaurant as well. The Rubik’s cube mosaics are very cool, and I appreciate them. Also, I am writing to Red Robin because recently there was a fundraiser for the marching band at my school. I am a section leader of the band, and I appreciate Red Robin doing the fundraiser with us. I also am interested in the financial aspects of the fundraiser. I wonder if the fundraiser greatly increased the turn out or increased take out orders. I would really appreciate a response from you because my teacher is offering bonus points for any student who receives a letter in response or any merchandise. If this is a possibility, I would love to show off your response to my class and bandmates. Any form of response would be awesome!
Thank you for doing the fundraiser with the marching band and I hope the band can work with you again in the future. Your food is always a joy when we eat there.
Thank you for your time,
Jack K.
The restaurant responded to Jack with a kind letter explaining how our fundraisers work and how much that fundraiser generated for the marching band. From Robin (Asst General Manager): “To add a personal touch, I prepared a response letter and coordinated with his teacher, Mrs. Gee, to deliver the swag bag to the high school. She was kind enough to record Jack’s reaction for us, and let me tell you—it was priceless! It was clear we made his day and helped make his class project a success.”
