“Sometimes a small act of kindness goes a long way.”

Dear Red Robin
Yesterday there was a horrendous storm in our town. We got incredibly lucky — no one hurt, no damage to our property, we even have a generator so no loss of power. Lucky, for sure. The whole neighborhood was dark and we had a busy week so no real food I the fridge for dinner. The girls wanted to go o Red Robin, which is just an easy place where everyone can get something to make them happy. We weaved our way there and as soon as we go inside my daughter had a meltdown over crayons… a full meltdown. I did the toddler plank carry out of the restaurant and then spent the next 10 mins making sure she was safe while she lost her cool. Most people walked past and laughed or said “good luck”. The manager of Red Robin however, saw me struggling and came to ask if she could get us anything like French Fries to help. I was so distracted I said a quick no, but thank you. After my daughter finally calmed down we went to sit down and the manager came back, put her hand on my shoulder and slipped this note along with a coupon on the table. She didn’t say much because she was super busy…but I opened it and had to hold back my tears. I love my daughter more than anything but she is a tough little nugget. Sometimes a small act of kindness goes such a long way. I will never forget the manager of her kindness. I found her after dinner to give her a big hug. Kudos Red Robin for great food and even better people.
The note reads:
"You’re a great mom! Sometimes it feels like our kids “misbehave” with us more than anyone else. It just means you’re her safe space ❤ . She is comfortable having emotions around you. Keep up the great work!"
