Red Robin Royalty Rewards Terms & Conditions ("ROYALTY TERMS")

IMPORTANT UPDATES TO THE PROGRAM: Effective as of May 22, 2024 (the “Program Change Date”), the ways in which Rewards are earned, can be redeemed, and expire is changing. Details about these changes, as well as the conversion of previously-earned Rewards to the new Rewards are explained in the Benefits of Being Royalty section below.
The Red Robin Royalty® rewards program (the "Program") is a loyalty rewards program offered by Red Robin International, Inc. ("Red Robin," "we", "our", or "us") to eligible participants to recognize and reward our fiercely loyal Red Robin restaurant guests. The Program allows registered members (“Members” or “Royalty” or “you”) to collect rewards, credits, and other benefits from their membership (collectively, "Rewards"). We offer the Program at participating Red Robin® restaurants in the United States and Canada.
PLEASE READ THESE ROYALTY TERMS CAREFULLY. BY REGISTERING OR PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE ROYALTY TERMS AND ALL OTHER TERMS INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE ROYALTY TERMS, DO NOT REGISTER OR PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM. THESE ROYALTY TERMS CONTAIN BY REFERENCE A BINDING ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND A CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL WAIVER THAT LIMIT YOUR RIGHTS TO BRING AN ACTION IN COURT OR TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS OR CONSOLIDATED ACTION.
All uses of our website, tabletop device, and/or mobile app, including using any of them to participate in the Program, are governed by our Terms and Conditions of Use located at www.redrobin.com/terms-of-use (the “Website Terms”), and all information you share with us or that we otherwise collect is governed by our Privacy Policy located at www.redrobin.com/privacy-policy (the “Privacy Policy”). By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive promotional messages via text, you agree to our SMS Program Terms and Conditions, located at https://www.redrobin.com/sms-program-terms-and-conditions.
We reserve the right to change or modify the Program, these Royalty Terms, and any FAQs or other element of the Program, in whole or in part, including without limitation canceling, restricting, or terminating the Program, at any time and in our sole discretion. Any changes or modifications will be posted to this site (www.redrobin.com/royalty/terms) and will be effective immediately or upon such date as may be specifically stated in the updated Royalty Terms. Unless required by applicable law, you waive any right you may have to receive specific notice of any such changes or modifications and/or to provide additional consent, and your continued access to or participation in the Program following any such changes confirms your acceptance. We encourage you to check back here from time to time to see if updates have been made; these Royalty Terms will include a LAST UPDATED date at the top indicating the last date on which any material changes were made.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Program, you must be an individual who: (a) is a legal resident of the United States or Canada, (b) is over the legal age of majority in your state, province or territory of residence at the time you register for the Program, (c) has a postal address that the United States Postal Service or Canada Post recognizes, (d) has an active e-mail address, and (e) has an active telephone number (land line or mobile), all subject to verification by Red Robin at any time. Red Robin reserves the right to immediately and without notice cancel all Rewards and delete the account of any ineligible member found participating in the Program.
REGISTERING FOR THE PROGRAM
If you are eligible and wish to participate in the Program, you must register and set up an account (your “Account”). You may register online at www.redrobin.com/rewards (the “Website”), through the official Red Robin mobile app (the “App”), or, if available, through the tabletop device at participating restaurant locations. Note that your Account is not valid until you are sent a confirmation via email upon completion of the registration process. By attempting to register, you represent and warrant that all information submitted by you is accurate.
To Register Online:
Go to the Website and click the "JOIN TODAY" button.
Enter your first and last name, a valid e-mail address, phone number (mobile is preferred), a password using the password characters stated on the website, and your military designation (U.S. residents only) and/or teacher designation.
You may also sign up for promotional coupons, offers and news by choosing your communication preference of the methods offered to you (see the Benefits of Being Royalty section below for descriptions of Royalty status and offers).
After your account is created, you will be asked to select your "my favorite Red Robin” restaurant. If your browser settings allow it, the 5 Red Robin restaurants closest to your current location will automatically be shown. Alternatively, you can enter an address, city, state/province or zip/postal code in the search box to retrieve a list of restaurants closest to the location you entered.
You will also be asked to provide your birthday (month and year). Please note that providing your birthday as well as permitting us to use either your email address or mobile phone number for such purposes, will be required for select optional offers. By providing your mobile phone number, you warrant that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number. Should you cease to be the subscriber or customary user of a phone number provided to Red Robin, you agree to immediately inform Red Robin and/or update the number associated with your Account. By allowing us to communicate with you via your mobile phone, you must agree to and accept Red Robin’s SMS Program Terms and Conditions, located at www.redrobin.com/sms-program-terms-and-conditions.
To Register Using the Red Robin Mobile App:
Go to the appropriate Apple or Android app store and download the Red Robin App and select "Sign In" links. You will be passed to a screen for login but look for the option to “Join Now”.
Follow the steps outlined immediately above for registering online but within the App environment. Communication preferences will include an option to opt-in to Push Notifications for account information and order details, as well as offers, rewards and promo information.
To Register Using the Tabletop Device at a Red Robin Location (where available):
On the tabletop device at the restaurant, navigate to the “Join Red Robin Royalty” button on the home screen. Follow the prompts to enter your phone number, first and last name, and email address. Click where requested to agree to the Program Terms, and you’ll be registered for the Program.
Your Registration
After you register, we will use your contact information to keep in touch with you in the ways you selected. If your contact information changes, or if you wish to change your contact information or the method by which we send you messages (e.g., start having us send messages to your mobile phone number), please log onto www.redrobin.com/account/login and update your contact information or preferences. Your registration information will be made available to you in your Account.
There is a limit of one Account per Member. If we discover that you have attempted to set up more than one Account and/or use or attempt to use multiple names, identities, or other information to create more than one Account, then, in the sole and absolute discretion of Red Robin, you may be disqualified from participating in the Program and we may cancel your Accounts, de-activate or cancel all of the Rewards you have accrued, and refuse to allow you to re-register in the Program.
You may be blocked from registering, or we may cancel your Account, if, in the sole and absolute discretion of Red Robin, we believe that any information you provide to us is not truthful, accurate and complete. Use or any attempted use of any macro, script, bot, or other systems(s) or program(s) to register for or otherwise participate in or disrupt the Program is strictly prohibited and is grounds for disqualification. We are not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, delayed, incomplete, or incompatible registrations (all of which are void). Red Robin reserves the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to refuse registration or cancel an Account for any individual that does not follow the required registration procedures as set out in these Royalty Terms, or for any other reason or no reason.
The program is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook or Google. If you register using your Facebook or Google account, you understand that you are providing your information to Red Robin. For more information, please review our Privacy Policy.
The Benefits Of Being Royalty
Being Royalty makes you eligible to receive Rewards by purchasing qualifying food items and non-alcoholic beverages at participating Red Robin restaurants and gives you access to other special offers reserved for Members who elect to receive them.
IMPORTANT: As of the Program Change Date, the following important changes will occur:
- The Royalty program will switch to a Points-based system as described below.
- Any “10th item free” Reward in your Account will remain in your account, and will remain valid for the time-period noted upon issuance.
- Any “5 in 5” Reward in your Account will remain in your account, and will remain valid for the time-period noted upon issuance.
- If you have any merits in your Account (e.g., an entrée purchase toward a “10th item free” Reward or a qualifying visit that would apply toward a “5 in 5” Reward) that were earned within 364 days and including May 22, 2024, each merit will be transferred to Points at a rate of 1 merit = 10 Points. Any merits that were earned more than 365 days prior to May 22, 2024 will be removed from your Account and replaced with a single $10 off $45 Purchase Offer, regardless of how many such merits or credits you had, and such Offer will expire 30 days from May 22, 2024.
Earning Points
Points are the base units of the Program. You will earn Points in the Program at the rate of 1 point for each $1.00 that you spend on food and beverages at any of our restaurants nationwide (but excluding discounts, tax, gratuities, alcohol, gift cards, merchandise, retail products, catering orders, donations, and delivery orders from third party platforms). Qualifying purchases include dine-in, take-out and curbside purchases, as well as purchases made by you directly from Red Robin for delivery (where available).
Points earned on each transaction will be based on rounding the qualifying amount of the purchase (i.e., excluding discounts, taxes, gratuities, gift cards, donations, and alcohol) to the nearest whole number. For example, a $34.49 qualifying purchase amount will be rounded down to 34 points while a $34.50 qualifying purchase amount will be rounded up to 35 points.
For Points to be recognized as earned (and added to your Account) for a qualifying transaction at a Red Robin restaurant, you must do one of the following:
- Place your order via our Website or App after logging into your Account prior to making payment;
- Provide your server, hospitality desk team member, or take-out team member with the phone number linked to your Account;
- If in restaurant, log in to your Royalty account using a table-top device.
- Within thirty (30) days following the transaction, go to the “Contact Us” option on our Website and input the check number and other required information for the transaction as further described in the Additional Information About Points and Rewards section below.
Points earned on a qualifying transaction will generally show up in your account within 24 hours after you have completed the transaction (if you have provided your server with the information noted above), or within 24 hours of your “Contact Us” request.
You will not earn Points on purchases made by any other person. Any Points sought to be added to your Account from purchases made by others will be subject to removal from your Account (and may result in all Points then in your Account being forfeited and your Account being terminated), in Red Robin’s sole discretion. Points will not be earned on any purchases made prior to your registration for the Program.
Points in your Account may not be transferred to other Program Members.
Points earned under the Program have no cash value.
Points Expiration
All Points in your Account will expire if you do not make a qualifying purchase within 365 days of the date of your last purchase on which Points were earned.
In addition, all Points in your Account will immediately be forfeited if Red Robin revokes your membership as provided in these Program Terms.
Any Points added to your Account through any computer virus, bug, tampering, intervention, fraud, or technological failure, or due to any other unauthorized compromise of the Program, may be deleted by Red Robin in our sole discretion.
$10 Rewards
For every 100 points that you earn in the Program, you will automatically be issued a non-transferable Reward good for $10 off a qualifying purchase at a Red Robin restaurant or on our Website or App, and such Points will be deducted from your Point balance. We will send you an email to your registered email address when each such Reward is issued to you.
Each $10 Reward will generally show up in your Account within 2-3 hours after the associated 100 Points are earned.
If you reach 200 or more Points in one transaction, multiple Rewards will be issued simultaneously. For example, if you have an existing Point balance of 95 Points and then spend $210 in a single qualifying transaction, increasing your Points balance to 305 Points, you will be issued three (3) $10 Rewards, 300 Points will be deducted from your Account, and your balance will be reduced to 5 Points.
Each $10 Reward will expire 90 days after the date of issuance.
The $10 Reward cannot be combined with any other rewards or discounts.
Rewards are not transferable. Rewards issued to you may only be redeemed by you.
$10 Rewards have no cash value. If the entire Reward value is not used on a single check, the remainder of such Reward is forfeited. No cash back will be paid on any Reward (unless otherwise required by law).
Surprise and Delight Offers
Surprise & Delight Offers may be made available to those Royalty Members who agree to receive promotional marketing communications from Red Robin, either by email, text message, or push notifications through the App.
Occasionally, we may send you a promotional marketing message notifying you that we have made a Surprise & Delight Offer available just for you. Surprise & Delight Offers will be limited time offers that you may redeem only during the time stated in the message we send you. We will try to tailor Surprise & Delight Offers to fit your menu favorites and other interests, so we may not offer you the same ones that we provide other Royalty Members. We also tailor these offers to you by examining your purchase history. Surprise & Delight Offers may be only available in certain areas or at certain Red Robin restaurants and may have different expiration periods or other terms set forth in the respective offer.
Birthday Burger reward
The Birthday Burger Reward is offered to those Royalty Members who provide their birthday (month and year) and opted-in to receive promotional marketing communications from Red Robin via text message or email and have validated their phone number.
Birthday Burger Reward offer is valid for one free item listed under Gourmet Burgers, Tavern Burgers, or Veggie & More on the menu for dine-in occasions with a minimum accompanying $4.99 menu purchase within the Member’s birthday month once per year. Certain modifications or add-ons are included, and Birthday Burger Reward cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts. Birthday Burger Rewards are non-transferable, unique to each active Member and must be validated by Account phone number or Royalty Account authentication at the time of purchase. Birthday Burger Reward applied to highest-priced qualifying item. Birthday Burger Reward not valid on catering purchases.
Teen/Kids’ Birthday Rewards
We love celebrating birthdays, and we don’t want your kiddo to miss out. The Teen/Kids’ Birthday Reward is available to Members who have provided email, phone number, and birthday and have opted in for promotional marketing emails or texts.
If you are a Member and have a child 17 or under, you can sign them up by adding their birthday to your Red Robin Royalty profile. The Teen/Kids’ Birthday Reward will be activated on your Account once per year on the first day of their birthday month and may be redeemed once during that month by applying the Reward to a purchase.
For children 12 and younger the Reward will be valid for one free kids meal during their birthday month. For children 13 and older the Reward will be valid for one free burger (same eligible items as the Birthday Burger Reward above) during their birthday month. This is a dine-in only Reward because your kiddo must be present to redeem it.
Additional Information About Points and Rewards
Rewards and Points towards Rewards will be automatically tracked and allocated to each Royalty Member's account by Red Robin in accordance with our official records. Neither Rewards nor Points have any cash value, neither is exchangeable for cash, and neither has any value outside of this Program. Neither Rewards nor Points can be assigned, exchanged, sold, traded, bartered, purchased, given by gift, or otherwise transferred. Any Rewards or Points so acquired are void. The accumulation of Rewards and/or Points does not entitle a Member to any vested rights, and Red Robin does not guarantee in any way the continued availability of any Reward or validity of any Points.
All Rewards are subject to verification at any time for any reason. Red Robin reserves the right, in our sole and absolute discretion, to invalidate any Rewards we deem to have been awarded in error, or as the result of any fraudulent or dishonest activity, or any activity not in keeping with the letter and/or spirit of these Royalty Terms, as interpreted by us in our sole and absolute discretion. Any Rewards that cannot be verified to the satisfaction of Red Robin are subject to forfeiture or cancellation.
None of the Red Robin Parties (as defined below) will be liable for the failure of any Rewards to be captured or recorded for any reason, including without limitation due to any failure of the Website or App, and/or any technical malfunction or other problems relating to the telephone network or lines, computer systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment or software.
If your Account is closed (regardless of the reason), Red Robin will de-activate your Account and you will forfeit all Points and Rewards that you may have earned. Upon the death or personal bankruptcy of a Member, that Member's Account will be closed and any Points and Rewards in the Account will be forfeited. Points and Rewards are not divisible in the case of divorce.
If you visit a Red Robin restaurant with other Royalty Members, please ask your server to give each Royalty Member a separate check and apply each Member's purchases to that particular Member's Account.
If you forget to provide your server with your program card or the phone number associated with your account when you pay for your meal, not all is lost: you can still receive Points for your qualifying purchase by going to https://www.redrobin.com/contact within thirty (30) days of your visit and inputting the requested information, selecting "Add Credit to Account" from the dropdown menu, and scanning and uploading your receipt. You will not receive Points or any other credits for purchases made prior to your registration.
All costs, fees and expenses incurred by a Royalty Member in redeeming a Reward and using the Reward are the full and sole responsibility of the Member. Each Member is fully and solely responsible for any and all income and local, state, provincial and deferral taxes on any Reward they receive.
Keeping in Touch With You
As a part of the Program, Red Robin may send you informational marketing, and promotional materials and other Program-related communications to the contact information you have provided as part of your registration. These may include, for example, messages informing you of improvements we make to the Program, new Rewards you may earn, Rewards you have earned that may be ready to expire, new menu items you may want to try, and events happening in Red Robin restaurants. If you change any of your Account contact information after joining the Program, you agree that Red Robin may continue to send you marketing and/or promotional or transactional messages to the new contact information.
Marketing And Promotional Communications
By participating in the Program, you acknowledge and agree that eligibility for some Rewards requires you to opt-in to receive marketing and/or promotional communications through e-mail, text message, and/or push notifications through the App. Specifically, to be eligible for Surprise & Delight Rewards and the Birthday Burger Reward, you must opt-in to receive marketing and/or promotional communications at the time of registration or by subsequently adjusting your Account preferences.
If you no longer wish to receive such marketing and/or promotional communications, you may unsubscribe or opt-out at any time by updating your communication preferences through your Account dashboard or App settings or by following the instructions contained in the individual marketing and/or promotional message. Please note, opting out of receiving marketing and/or promotional communications may change your available Rewards and you will no longer be eligible for select Rewards.
NOTE: Regardless of your Account preferences or opt-in status, we may still send you transactional communications relating to your participation in the Program (e.g., Account-specific administrative, status, and service announcements), and by participating in the Program you acknowledge and agree that such communications are allowable.
Loyalty Program Disclosure
Under applicable law, loyalty programs may be considered a financial incentive or bona fide loyalty program. To view our notice regarding our loyalty program, please visit redrobin.com/privacy-policy.
Account security
You will need your e-mail address and password to access your Account on our Website or App. You are responsible for keeping the information you use to access your Account (i.e., the password for your Account) private and secure. If someone besides you learns your Account password, then you will be responsible for any actions that person takes with regard to your Account. You must notify us immediately if you believe your password may have been used by any unauthorized party.
How and When Membership May End
You may cancel your Program membership and Account at any time by:
- Sending an e-mail to [email protected]; or
- Sending a letter to "Red Robin Royalty Program", Red Robin International, Inc., Attention: Guest Relations, 10000 E. Geddes Ave, Suite 500, Englewood, CO 80112,
in each case explaining that you wish to cancel. As soon as you cancel your Account, Red Robin will de-activate your Account and you will forfeit any Rewards and Points that you may have earned.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to de-activate/cancel your Account and/or cancel any or all Rewards and/or Points you may have earned under the circumstances otherwise described in these Royalty Terms.
Limitation of Liability
By registering for and/or participating in the Program, you agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Red Robin and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, franchisees, and its and their respective directors, officers, shareholders, employees, agents, contractors, and representatives (collectively, the “Red Robin Parties”) shall not be liable to you for: (1) any claim, loss, injury, damage, delay, accident, cost or expense, including legal fees, arising out of or related to the Program, Rewards, these Royalty Terms, or the Website or App; (2) any incidental, indirect, special, punitive, exemplary or consequential damages arising out of or related to the Program, Rewards, these Royalty Terms, or the Website or App; (3) any failure, delay or decision by any of the Red Robin Parties in administering the Program; (4) any use of your Account by a party that you did not authorize to use your Account; (5) any representation, claim, offer or statement we make about the Program; and/or (6) your use and acceptance of any Rewards you receive through the Program. You further agree that in no event will the Red Robin Parties be liable to you for more than $50 (US) in the aggregate for all wrongful acts or omissions by the Red Robin Parties arising out of or relating to the Program, Rewards, these Royalty Terms, or the Website or App.
To the fullest extent permitted under applicable law, you agree that notice of any claim must be given within two years of its accrual or such claim is waived and time barred.
No Warranties
Red Robin makes no warranty of any kind regarding the Program, which is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. Red Robin does not represent or warrant as to the accuracy or completeness of the information posted on the Website or in the App regarding the Program or otherwise, or that the Website or App will be available to you 100% of the time.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Royalty Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to any conflicts of laws provisions, and by participating in the Program in any way, you accept and agree to the provisions of the Website Terms, available at www.redrobin.com/terms-of-use, entitled GOVERNING LAW, PRE-ARBITRATION CLAIM RESOLUTION, and BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION AND AGREEMENT TO ARBITRATE ALL DISPUTES. If you do not agree to those provisions, do not participate in the Program.
Entire Agreement
These Royalty Terms and the other terms incorporated by reference into these Royalty Terms, constitute the entire agreement between the Red Robin Parties and you and set out all of the covenants, promises, warranties, representations, conditions, and agreements between us in connection with the Program and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, negotiations, and discussions, whether oral or written, pre-contractual or otherwise. There are no covenants, promises, warranties, representations, conditions or other agreements, whether oral or written, pre-contractual or otherwise, express, implied or collateral, whether statutory or otherwise, between us in connection with the Program except as specifically set forth in these Royalty Terms.
